I’m suggesting the coach is not the problem, and a new coach will do nothing for them. Especially since there is no proven, home run coach to bring in. They have on-ice personnel issues that need to be addressed, and they need a GM that isn’t a total joke.

What does any of that have to do with not re-signing the coach? It’s not like they fired him and brought in a new, inexperienced coach while still being on the hook for the rest of Renney’s contract. There is no contract left. They’ve simply decided not to renew it.
