Couldn’t agree more. The timing for Raymond couldn’t have been better. Look at a guy like Setoguchi, think he wishes he would’ve been an RFA last summer?
The Canucks better hope that Raymond has what it takes, that kind of a contract ecomes a huge liability in this cap era for a guy that doesn’t hit 40pts.

Brilliant news and congrats to Mason, his agent and the Canucks for working out a deal. He may have gotten a bit more through arbitration but the process is almost always perceived by the player as being a very personal attack and often sours their relationship with the team irreparably. Now if we can only get a cheap right handed d-man with a smokin shot from the point that gets past the shot blocker.
