Bettman says they hope to have a firm cap number worked out with NHLPA and announced by tomorrow. He said it could come as early as tonight.
Bettman said BOGs were consistent with GMs and Comp Committee on changes to OT, trapezoid, hash marks, faceoffs, embellishment.
They will make no announcements on any changes until they are all confirmed by the NHLPA. The PA exec board meets in July.

Changes to the NHL Draft Lottery were voted in on Thursday by the league's Board of Governors.
According to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun, the league still needs to confer with the National Hockey League Players' Association before they become official.
The NHL's general managers met in New York during the Stanley Cup Final and at that time, Sabres general manager Tim Murray told LeBrun that potential new changes would not take effect in time for next year's highly anticipated 2015 Draft that will feature Connor McDavid.

The NHL's Board of Governors has approved changes for next year's draft lottery system, according to ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.
Those changes, which must also be approved by the National Hockey League Players' Association, would go into effect for the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, a heavily-anticipated draft class that features the highly-touted prospect Connor McDavid.
The exact changes that were approved when the Board of Governors met Thursday in Manhattan are not immediately clear, but they will likely be a source of consternation for some, especially those with a stockpile of high picks for 2015.
So these changes may be made before next year's draft?
