Q & A With Kevin Allen

Kevin Allen of USA TODAY held a recent online Q & A,
Do you think the league will adjust to the new rules and scoring will come down this year, or are we in a long-term goal 'inflationary' period like the 80s? Kevin Allen: I think scoring will be at the same levels as last year. The refs are being told to call it the same way or else. It's hard to "adjust" to not being allowed to hold up players without the puck. If they continue to call that penalty, there will be more scoring chances. Do you think that nicoli zerdev will sign with the bluejackets this year. Kevin Allen: As I mentioned before, I would guess yes, but you have to factor in that Russian teams now can pay a decent wage.
