Kukla's Korner Hockey
Professional Athletes vs The Rest of Us

Professional athletes have groupies.
The Rest of Us have dogs that love us despite the fact we come home from games smelling like we were rolling in dead squirrel. Or maybe they love us because we smell like we were rolling in dead squirrel. Either way, it’s love.
Professional athletes have a team of support staff to lug their gear, wash their gear and dry their gear.
The Rest of Us used to drop our gear by the fire to dry after games until The Rest of Us’ wives banned hockey gear from the house. Now we leave it in the garage so when we get to our games we have to leave our frozen block of a hockey bag near a heater so we can start breaking off pieces of UnderArmour and elbow pad.
