Pred’s Tough Guy Keeps Busy

Really, how long can you spend deliberating the X's and O's of your next shift? In the case of Predators tough guy Darcy Hordichuk, he's always needed to exert more mental muscle than that, which is why he's developed a surprisingly broad array of off-ice interests over the years. A regular at high-priced motivational seminars during offseasons, the 25-year-old Hordichuk has put the words of Donald Trump and other moguls to practical use, buying and selling real estate all over the country. That's when he's not busy running his summer hockey school, brushing up on his skills as an amateur magician or updating his personal Web site. And if you think Hordichuk is all about Hordichuk, think again. In his first season with the Predators, he's already proven an active charity worker. He brought 50 children to a game earlier this season.
