from the Tennessean,
The Predators lost two more players to injury Tuesday when center Scott Nichol suffered a broken thumb and defenseman Marek Zidlicky suffered an undisclosed upper-body injury.
Nichol said he took a two-handed slash to his hand from Detroit defenseman Brett Lebda near the end of the first period. No penalty was called on the play.
“Hopefully the league will review it and we’ll see what they say,’’ said Nichol, who expected to be out at least a couple of weeks.
It wasn’t immediately clear how Zidlicky suffered the injury. Coach Barry Trotz said he didn’t know how long the defenseman would be out, but didn’t think the injury was too serious.
