Brian Boucher, the unheralded goaltender who carried the Flyers to their Game 1 win over the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday night, opted to skip practice today.
Judging by Boucher’s pale, gassed look just minutes after his 23-save performance, it was no surprise he wasn’t on the ice. Boucher admitted the Devils “made him work” with shots from all angles.
It was his first playoff win in 10 years.
