Of course, everyone will be watching 20-year-old Sidney Crosby as he tries to duplicate his scoring title and MVP award for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

But here’s a look at 10 players who should also be at the centre of the action in the 2007-08 NHL season:

10. Todd Bertuzzi, Anaheim Ducks - The controversial power winger inked an $8-million, two-year contract with the Stanley Cup champions after going to Detroit in a late-season trade from Florida last season. Injuries restricted him to 15 regular-season games in 2006-07, when he had three goals and eight assists. The Ducks are gambling that fallout from the 2004 Steve Moore attack and his one-year suspension will abate and he can become an offensive force again.
