Pisani Looking For A Contract

from Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal,

Has it really been five years since Fernando Pisani could walk the streets of Edmonton and everybody wanted to buy him a plate of pasta or a bottle of wine, or both?

Now the former Edmonton Oilers playoff hero is looking for work.

Last year, he played 60 games for the Chicago Blackhawks. With training camps opening in 10 days, he doesn’t have a contract, though, and isn’t keen on taking a tryout against guys with one-way contracts, even though that would keep him in the public eye.
