via the Toronto Star,
A New York TV station says several people have been arrested in connection with the death of New York Rangers enforcer Derek Boogaard.
Boogaard died of an accidental drug overdose in 2011 while recovering from a concussion.
“Arrests have been made in connection with the overdose death of @NYRangers player Derek Boogaard,” MyFoxNY tweeted.
Boogaard’s brother Aaron was charged shortly after the enforcer’s death with giving his brother Oxycodone.
That charge was later dismissed.
