Not sure it’s worthy of an exclamation point, but good organizational depth signing.

Maybe it’s good for Wilkes-Barre but Williams is worthless at the NHL level.

Yeah, depth chart what it is, there’s little chance he sees NHL action unless the injury situation mimics last year (knock on wood).

Not sure I get this one, unless it’s strictly for the Baby Pens.

Williams has his uses in the right situations, but he’s really too poor a skater to play a top-six role in Dan Bylsma’s system, and he’s not really tough enough to handle grind minutes either. Even as an injury replacement, it’s tough to see where he fits.

Look at the WB/S’s centres:
possibly but probably not Jeffrey
Ryan Craig
Joe Vitale
Ben Street
Zach Sill

Sill is a bottom 6 C, Street’s coming off his 1st year as a pro, Vitale is a bottom 6, and Craig is versatile yet not offensively gifted. They needed a playmaker, and Williams is one.

Pittsburgh is okay at centre, he’s not meant for Pittsburgh.
