Peca Looking At Mid-April Return

The 32-year-old worked out for 25 minutes yesterday at the Air Canada Centre in a track suit, but was able to put weight on the leg and shoot the puck.
“I had to fight the doctor to skate,” Peca said with a laugh. “I was able to go straight away as fast and as hard as I want, turn over both ways and do figure eights, so I was pretty happy.”
His recent x-rays have been encouraging.
“The bone has healed and you can barely see any trace of the fracture,” he said. “The MCL has just about healed perfectly I was able to do a lot of things today that I didn’t think I’d be able to do….”
