I agree with the Shannaban here.

It was a bad hit, and the right call. This consistency is foreign for the NHL.

I know it wasn’t the intent of Brendan… but does he ever make Campbell look totally incompetent.

I know he has not been prefect, but at least the rational is out on the table - perhaps not ideal for repeat offenders… but hey, that was the idea no?

1) Pacioretty IS NOT a repeat offender.
2) He deserved to be suspended
3) Chris Campoli was hit in a very similar manner by Ryan Malone: no suspension
4) Ryan Miller was hit in a similar manner by Milan Lucic: no suspension
5) Shanahan isn’t making Campbell look incompetent, he’s been just as wildly inconsistent as Campbell was.
6) I have no problem with Pacioretty being suspended, but I want to see consistency and the end of double standards from Shanahan.

Fair call.

Now can he hop in the DeLorean and go back in time and suspend Malone and Lucic…?

And can he then suspend Deveaux for 6?

Oh, right…

It’s tough to be a Hab Fan these days!

I agree that we should have more consistency, but I must say that these explanatory videos are fantastic. Question though, did they release similar videos for the non-suspensions on Malone and Lucic?

No penalty on the ice—by 2 refs??  The speed and size of today’s players make these situations impossible to prevent. If the NHL was truly serious about preventing headshots, then fighting would be eliminated—no one is getting suspended for a knockout punch to the left temple???

Max deserved a suspension. Three games? No. One, maybe two.
Shanahan consistent? Sadly disagree. Find his completely erratic and making everything muddier than it needs to be.
