8.5 seems like crazy money and 5.25 seems too low.

He’ll likely get all of around 8.  It kinda’ seems dumb that MTL is going to try this in arbitration.  I don’t know what other outcome they think they’ll get.

PK Subban. Detroit Red Wing in 2016. We pay him 9Mil/year. You heard hear first….

JUST KIDDING! Would be awesome to snag a defenseman in the near future though.

8.5 is slightly high and 5.25 is insultingly low

8.5 sounds about right to me.

under ‘normal’ circumstances, 8.5 does seem high.  in the ‘new & improved cap era,’ tho, eh, mebbe not so much ...

5.25? Not a great start if they want avoid offending the guy. I think he’s worth around $8 and he’d likely get much more on a long-term deal if he were UFA right now.

8.5m is a little above the mark, I think, but he’s worth every penny.

5.25m is crazy, and the Habs ought to be ashamed.

8.5 for 8 and then you actually have him, instead of daring him to leave.  In 8 years 8.5 will seem like a steal.
