Say your prayers, folks, for Ryan O’Reilly. The Avalanche center crashed into the boards a few minutes ago, his head and neck going awkwardly into the boards after trying to play a puck against Minnesota’s Matt Cullen on a Wild power play.
He is being wheeled off on a stretcher, his body immobilized. He did not move any limbs or give any thumbs up or anything as he was being carried off.
Let’s just hope for the best. More details as they emerge.

Get well soon. I hope the precautionary hospital stay is just that and he’s skating again this week.
