Cant believe they’re still talking about Oshie.  Kessel has a natural hattrick, but Oshie’s still getting blown for his shootout prowess.

Which US defenseman just roofed that into their own net?
Posted by some kid on 02/19/14 at 12:12 PM ET

he didnt roof, it, it went off of Suters skate on the clear attempt.  Same result though.  Game will be hard enough for them without those kinds of shenanigans

Thanks for the help on that. All I’ve got is the BBC feed again and they’re fuchin’ clueless.

It aint footie, so it dont count.  CZE looked like they were on a PP

Have I not watched enough yet, or has Parise been mostly invisible in the tourney?

US has to sort out there coverage, they keep watching the puck and the CZE forwards sneaking into scoring areas.

I thought he had one good game along the way, but I confess I haven’t payed all that much attention.

I’ve enjoyed the hell out of the entire US blue line, and especially how much Fowler has improved.

The Czechs really know how to use the open ice in the O-zone.  Now if they didnt have Pavelec in net, they might have a real chance in this tourney.

Man, that Latvian goalie is playing unconscious.  Canada’s had 3 or 4 point blank shots to open the period and hes shut all of them down.

Czechs ran out of gas against the Slovaks yesterday.  my guess is they’re going in the same direction today.

With 5 to go in the second, Kristers Gudlevskis has faced 30 shots. I doubt he can stand up to that sort of barrage for another 25 minutes, but I sure hope so.

My thoughts exactly.  And good call on the Guigere comparison.  Painful memory, but good comparison

20 minutes more and they are playing for medals.

US Olympic team up 4-1 after two periods = relaxed confidence.

2013-2014 Detroit Red Wings up 4-1 after two periods = nervous doubt.

Is there a delay in CAN v. LAT? ESPN’s box score has been stuck at 18:44 for more than 10 minutes even though the US v. CZ game continues to count down.

No, but all of Canada is going to have a conniption.  Latvian defenseman just pulled a puck back over the line: no goal.
