Seems about right.  I’d be surprised if USA medals at all.  They’re missing the good vets, going to be an awfully young team again.

However, everyone on down to Switzerland has some sort of shot at Gold IMHO.  The gap continues to close between the top and lower teams.

“If I was a betting man”... I’d take the Swiss with those odds. They’ve really been playing a good style of international hockey for the past 6 years or so.

They also still get the benefit of having some NHLers, while most of the rest of their team still plays together on a national team for other tournies year-round.

And they play an infuriating style of hockey that works well to thwart more skilled teams.  I think the Swiss could easily beat the Swedes (again) or Russians.  Canada is a lot bigger and stronger than those teams and can probably power through that sort of everyone collapsing in front of the goalie style defense.
