Olli Jokinen Had Surgery To Repair Abdominal Muscle Tear

Calgary, AB – Injury Update - Olli Jokinen underwent successful surgery on May 1st to repair a tear in an abdominal muscle. The surgery was performed by Dr. William Meyers at the Vincera Core Physicians Clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rehabilitation is expected to be three to four weeks and a full recovery is anticipated.
Jokinen first reported discomfort on March 22nd when the team played the Minnesota Wild; he was examined by team physicians and was treated regularly by the Flames medical staff through the conclusion of the playing season; Jokinen opted to remain in the line-up during this time and no games were lost to injury.
