Oilers Need More From Gagner

Sam Gagner has his boosters. Some people look at him, scrutinize various stats, and believe he’s making progress in his career.
But Gagner has essentially had the same season four years in a row, a season that looked promising when it was put up by an 18-year-old, not so much when similar numbers were put up by a 21-year-old.
This isn’t just in reference to Gagner’s official point totals of 49, 41, 41 and 42 points. His defensive play has also failed to improve.
