So I have a question for you.
Where does Willie Mitchell land and extra credit if you give me the terms of the contract?

vancouver 1.2 plus .5 bonus for games played
Paul, how about expanding it into a contest with a “prize”....you choose maybe the top 10 FA left…..mitchell,niemi,stempiak,etc….maybe include the Ryans,Neals but you can’t pick their current teams????

Good idea desert fox but I am holding off on the KK Challenges until the new look KK is ready.
Then we will have a big one.

I just don’t see the Vancouver deal happening. Capgeek has Van listed at 2.6 and change over the cap already with 9 defensemen on the books. They have to waive Obrien and Alberts just to break even, and if you wave rome you still need to clear another million just to make him the offer of 1.75 which will but then nut to butt with the cap.
San Jose I was going to pick initially but reviewing their cap situation they have 3.1 to add 2 players for a 23 man roster. I agree you got the price right for him, at least a ballpark of what he’ll pull but I dont’ see the sharks bein’ able to squeeze him in for that and still bring in another forward but IT IS possible
So I decided to go left field with mine. TB lost Kreijcek and Konopka and could use some veteran grit and maybe a nice stay at home veteran presence for Hedman, could easily be in the top 4 there and their bottom consists of Clarke, Lundin and Lashoff. Plus there’s nice sandy beaches of Tampa with grand new GM Stevie Y, I could definately see players viewing Tampa and a realistic destination for competative hockey now vs. the exile it was minus they’re one Cinderella year.

Vancouver, 2 yr, 1.5m per + games played bonus.
Will happen assuming Bieksa’s traded, Salo on LTIR and Alberts demoted or traded.

Los Angeles 2yrs. $5 million total ($2.5 a year)
Posted by quibell_17 from Portland OR on 08/10/10 at 08:47 PM ET
Vancouver 1 year at 1.5M plus games played bonus. No matter where Willie goes, he’ll only need one year to re-establish his value. Then he’ll really be able to get his nose deep in the trough!

Definitely a contender so I’m guessing it’ll be the Sharks.
1 yr/$2.5 milion.
