Inofrmation provided by the NHL PR folks...

GAME 3 NOTES
* The Bruins are 3-0 in Game 3s this postseason. The Blackhawks are 0-3.

* Home teams have won the last nine Game 3s in the Stanley Cup Final. The last road team to win a Game 3 in the Final was the 2002 Red Wings over the Hurricanes (3-2 in 3OT).

* The referees for tonight’s game are Chris Rooney (#5) and Brad Watson (#23). The linesmen are Shane Heyer (#55) and Brian Murphy (#93).

DID YOU KNOW?
* Teams winning Game 3 after splitting the first two games of the Final have gone on to win the Stanley Cup 21 of 25 times (84.0%) since the Final adopted the best-of-seven format beginning in 1939.

* The four teams in that scenario to win the Stanley Cup after losing Game 3 were the 1964 Maple Leafs (seven games), 1989 Flames (six games), 1991 Penguins (six games) and 2004 Lightning (seven games).

* This marks the first split in the opening two games of the Stanley Cup Final since 2004, when Calgary won the first game on the road and Tampa Bay came back to win Game 2.

* If Game 3 extends to overtime, it would mark the second time in NHL history – and first time in 62 years – that the opening three games of the Stanley Cup Final have been decided in extra time. In the epic 1951 Stanley Cup Final, all five games between Toronto and Montreal went to overtime. The Maple Leafs won four of the five games to capture the Stanley Cup.

* The Bruins are 5-2 in overtime games this postseason. The Blackhawks are 4-2.

* The winning club has not led at any point during the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final. Overall, Chicago and Boston have been tied or separated by one goal for 97.8% of the time through the opening two games.

* In the 2012 (Los Angeles-New Jersey, six games) and 2011 Final (Boston-Vancouver, seven games), the team that scored first won every game. This marks the first Stanley Cup Final with more than one victory by a team that did not score first since 2007, when three of the five games between Anaheim and Ottawa were won by the team that allowed the opening goal (two by the Ducks, one by the Senators).

* The Bruins have a League-high five wins this postseason when yielding the first goal (5-2). The only other team with a .500 or better record in that scenario is the Blackhawks, who are 4-3.

* The Bruins are 10-2 in their last 12 games (since Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals), with both losses coming in overtime. They have outscored opponents, 38-21, in that span.

HOME VS. ROAD
* The Blackhawks are 3-4 on the road this postseason, where they are averaging 2.00 goals per game and 2.29 goals-against per game. Chicago has a League-high 10 wins on home ice during the playoffs, averaging 3.17 goals per game and 1.83 goals-against per game.

* The Bruins are 7-2 at TD Garden this postseason, scoring 2.89 goals per game while yielding 1.89 goals-against per game. Boston has an NHL-best six road victories in the playoffs, where they are averaging 3.22 goals per game and 2.00 goals-against per game.

* The Bruins won all three home games they played during the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, outscoring the Canucks, 17-3.

TUUKKA TIME
Boston goaltender Tuukka Rask has allowed no more than one goal in each of Boston’s last seven wins dating to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. He has a 0.64 goals-against average, .978 save percentage and two shutouts in those victories.

SPECIAL TEAMS
* Boston has killed off 22 consecutive penalties dating to Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, including all six Chicago opportunities through the first two games of the Stanley Cup Final. The Bruins have an 87.9% penalty-kill rate during the 2013 playoffs (51-for-58), including an 86.7% mark at home (26-for-30).

* Chicago leads the League with a 93.6% penalty-kill rate this postseason (59-for-63), including a 96.4% mark on the road (27-for-28).

* Boston has scored one power-play goal in its last 20 opportunities dating to Game 5 of Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Bruins have a 16.0% power-play conversion rate during the playoffs (8-for-50), including an 11.5% mark at home (3-for-26).

* Chicago has not scored a power-play goal in its last 15 chances dating to Game 2 of the Western Conference Final. The Blackhawks have a 12.3% power-play success rate this postseason (7-for-57), including a 4.6% mark on the road (1-for-22).
