Not As Bad As A Corked Bat

from the Oxford Press,
Atlanta Thrashers star Ilya Kovalchuk, who has been caught using a stick with too great a curve three times, was accused of the infraction Wednesday in a game against Nashville. "In terms of competitive advantage, I don't believe the curvature of the stick can be equated to a corking of a baseball bat," NHL director of officials Steve Walkom said. "There are certain limits that have been decided upon. ... I've been in the game a long time and if someone thinks an opponent is breaking the rule, then you can get a penalty. That in itself is a pretty big penalty in the game."
