from Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News,
In one game, the Stars took one of their best seasons in recent memory and turned it into a long list of question marks for the offseason.
In taking a 6-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues at American Airlines Center Wednesday in Game 7 of a second round series, Dallas opened the door for a lot of criticism.
"It's a huge disappointment," said Stars coach Lindy Ruff. "It's not our team. It's not the ending you want."
Stars goalie Kari Lehtonen was pulled after allowing three goals on eight shots, the fourth time in the playoffs the Stars have pulled their starting goalie. That calls into question whether the two-goalie system can work in the NHL. While Dallas rode Lehtonen and Antti Niemi to 50 wins and the second round of the playoffs, there will be plenty out there who expect the Stars to look at a possible change with the two goalies, who each have two more years on their respective contracts.
