"It's different in the sense that, in the (broadcast) chair, I did so many different games," Davidson said. "I did all the Rangers games, and then I'd do the network games. And so you were not emotionally attached to the way the team plays, as opposed to how it is now. You're much more emotionally attached now, and you get frustrated at times when you know things could be better." Fire the coach. Trade this player, that player. Davidson has heard it all, and the Blues' season is only 1½ months old. Believe it or not, he pays attention. "We need fans," he says. "I pay attention to them. A good fan is a fan that loves the Blues and is an emotional person about it. And that's great. But it's my responsibility to not be panicky about it. That's my job."read on
