If this were the 1950s, the headline on this column might read like this: National Hockey League Boss Soft on Crime In the 1960s or 1970s it might go like this: Ludicrous Decision by Hockey Honcho Stuns Even Rough and Tumble Hockey Community. League Boss Refuses to Give Peace a Chance. In the 1980 or even the 1990s it might be: Headbanger's Ball(ing) Sways Hockey Boss However, this is the tail end of 2005, so our modest, politically correct, hey-it's-the-new-NHL- line might be as simple as 'What Was Colin Campbell Thinking?'
