Niinimaa Wasn’t Comfortable In His Defensive Roll

from the AP via Forbes,
"It wasn't a secret that I never felt comfortable there," said Niinimaa, traded to New York by Edmonton in March 2003. "I didn't like the (defensive) role I was put in there. "Things just didn't work out. I wasn't happy there and Mike Milbury knew that. I tried. I played my hardest, but it wasn't a comfortable situation for me."
