NHL Trade Day Transactions

NEW YORK (Feb. 27, 2007)—NHL clubs made 25 trades, involving 44 players, between 9 a.m., ET, today and the 3 p.m., ET, trading deadline. The number of trades matches the trading deadline high, set last year, while the number of players involved ranks second all-time to the 46 in 2003. Following is a list of the transactions:

Anaheim traded G Michael Wall to Colorado for LW Brad May.

Anaheim traded D Joe Rullier to Tampa Bay for D Doug O’Brien.

Atlanta traded RW Alex Bourret to New York Rangers for LW Pascal Dupuis and the Rangers’ 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Boston traded D Paul Mara to New York Rangers for D Aaron Ward.

Boston traded C Brad Boyes to St. Louis for D Dennis Wideman.

Buffalo traded G Martin Biron to Philadelphia for Philadelphia’s 2nd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Buffalo traded C Jiri Novotny and its 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Washington for RW Dainius Zubrus and D Timo Helbling.

Chicago traded LW Karl Stewart and Florida’s 6th-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft (previously acquired) to Tampa Bay for RW Nikita Alexeev.

Columbus traded G Ty Conklin to Buffalo for Buffalo’s 5th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Dallas traded D Jaroslav Modry, D Johan Fransson, its 2nd- and 3rd-round picks in the 2007 Entry Draft and 1st-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft to Los Angeles for D Mattias Norstrom, RW Konstantin Pushkarev and Los Angeles’ 3rd- and 4th-round picks in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Edmonton traded LW Ryan Smyth to New York Islanders for C Ryan O’Marra, C Robert Nilsson and the Islanders’ 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Florida traded LW Gary Roberts to Pittsburgh for D Noah Welch.

Florida traded D Joel Kwiatkowski to Pittsburgh for Florida’s 4th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft (previously acquired).

Florida traded RW Todd Bertuzzi to Detroit for C Shawn Matthias, a conditional 1st-, 2nd-, or 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft and a conditional pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Los Angeles traded RW Jason Ward to Tampa Bay for Tampa Bay’s 5th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Nashville traded D Mikko Lehtonen to Buffalo for Buffalo’s 4th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

New Jersey traded D David Hale and its 5th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Calgary for Calgary’s 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

Phoenix traded LW Oleg Saprykin and its 7th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft to Ottawa for Ottawa’s 2nd-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Phoenix traded RW Georges Laraque to Pittsburgh for LW Dan Carcillo and Pittsburgh’s 3rd-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Phoenix traded C Yanic Perreault and its 5th-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft to Toronto for D Brendan Bell and Toronto’s 2nd-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Pittsburgh traded C Dominic Moore to Minnesota for Minnesota’s 3rd-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

St. Louis traded RW Bill Guerin to San Jose for LW Ville Nieminen, LW Jay Barriball and New Jersey’s 1st-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft (previously acquired).

San Jose traded G Nolan Schaefer to Pittsburgh for Pittsburgh’s 7th-round pick in the 2007 Entry Draft.

San Jose traded RW Scott Parker to Colorado for Colorado’s 6th-round pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.

Washington traded D Jamie Heward to Los Angeles for a conditional pick in the 2008 Entry Draft.
