NHL Expansion—Kansas City?

A California businessman said Saturday he will work with local officials to bring a National Hockey League team to Kansas City and be the team's owner. William "Boots" Del Biaggio III is a limited partner of the NHL's San Jose Sharks and part owner of the United States Hockey League's Omaha Lancers. Del Biaggio, president and chief executive of Sand Hill Capital, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based venture finance company, intends to own the Kansas City team when the $250 million Sprint Center opens next year in downtown Kansas City.
