BOYLE SCORES ON DEVILS’ HOCKEY FIGHTS CANCER NIGHT
Brian Boyle, who was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia in September, scored in the second period to help the Devils defeat the Canucks on Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night at Prudential Center.

* Fans began chanting "Brian Boyle!" after the goal was announced. "How about that," Boyle told MSG Network during the second intermission. "I want to thank all the fans. That was great."

GOLDEN KNIGHTS EXTEND HOME WIN STREAK TO EIGHT GAMES
The Sharks overcame a 4-1 deficit, but Jonathan Marchessault (1-2—3) scored at 1:21 of overtime to power theGolden Knights to their eighth consecutive home win and fourth straight victory overall. Elias notes that the Golden Knights matched the NHL record for longest home win streak by a team in its inaugural season.


* Elias adds that the Golden Knights are one victory shy of equaling of their longest overall win streak this season (5-0-0 from Oct. 15-27), which matched the NHL record for longest such run by a team in its inaugural season set by the 1926-27 Rangers and 1979-80 Oilers.


SEGUIN NETS HAT TRICK AFTER STARS RETIRE JERE LEHTINEN’S No. 26
On the night Dallas retired former forward Jere Lehtinen’s No. 26 in a pre-game ceremony at American Airlines Center, Tyler Seguin (3-0—3) netted the eighth hat trick of his NHL career to help the Stars improve to 9-2-0 at home in 2017-18.

* Seguin scored career goals No. 199, 200 and 201 to become the first player from the 2010 NHL Draft class to eclipse the 200-goal milestone, 12 more than the next-closest player (Jeff Skinner: 189).

* Lehtinen joined Neal Broten (No. 7), Bill Goldsworthy (No. 8), Mike Modano (No. 9) and Bill Masterton (No. 19) as the only players in franchise history to have their number retired. Lehtinen, who spent his entire NHL career with the Stars, collected 243-271—514 in 875 career games and was part of the team that won the franchise’s first Stanley Cup in 1999. OTHER CLUBS STRETCH LENGTHY WIN STREAKS
The Blue Jackets (15-7-1, 31 points), Predators (14-6-2, 30 points) and Bruins (10-7-4, 24 points) each extended their overall win streaks, while the Rangers (12-9-2, 26 points) stretched their home win streak:

* Cam Atkinson scored twice to guide the Blue Jackets to their sixth consecutive victory, the longest active win streak in the NHL. Columbus earned at least six straight victories for the first time since its 16-game run from Nov. 29, 2016 – Jan. 3, 2017, the second-longest win streak in NHL history.

* Pekka Rinne turned aside all 34 shots he faced to backstop the Predators to their fourth consecutive win. Rinne recorded his 45th career shutout to pass Miikka Kiprusoff (44) for the most in NHL history by a Finnish-born goaltender.

* David Pastrnak scored the go-ahead goal at 5:06 of the third period to help the Bruins defeat the Penguins in the2017 Discover NHL Thanksgiving Showdown and extend their win streak to a season-high four games.

* Mats Zuccarello scored 37 seconds into overtime to power the Rangers to their seventh consecutive win at Madison Square Garden, their longest such run since Oct. 19 – Nov. 23, 2015 (9-0-0).


MARLEAU, THORNTON CLIMB ALL-TIME LISTS
* Maple Leafs forward Patrick Marleau scored his 102nd career game-winning goal to pass Jarome Iginla for sole possession of seventh on the NHL’s all-time list.


* Sharks forward Joe Thornton collected two assists to leapfrog Joe Sakic for sole possession of 12th on the NHL’s all-time list.


NIEDERREITER, KADRI EXTEND PERSONAL STREAKS
* Wild forward Nino Niederreiter (1-0—1) extended his goal streak to six games (7-0—7), matching the longest such run in franchise history set by Brian Rolston from Jan. 21 – Feb. 5, 2008. Only one player has recorded a longer goal streak this season – Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov from Oct. 6-17 (7 GP).

* Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri collected an assist to extend his career-high point streak to nine games (5-5—10), the longest active point streak in the NHL.
