LATE GOAL GIVES PREDATORS SERIES LEAD, EXTENDS HOME WIN STREAK
Ryan Ellis notched an assist on the tying goal early in the third period and Roman Josi scored the go-ahead marker with 2:43 remaining in regulation as the Predators extended their playoff home winning streak to 10 games to take a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Final.
* The Predators’ 10-game winning streak in home playoff games – which includes a 6-0 mark at Bridgestone Arena in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs – began in Game 6 of the 2016 First Round vs. ANA. The run marks the 15th instance in NHL history of a team winning at least 10 consecutive home playoff games, with Nashville being the 10th team to accomplish the feat in the League’s expansion era (since 1967-68).
* The Predators joined the Avalanche (11-0 from 1996-97) and Red Wings (10-0 from 1997-98) as the only teams to win at least 10 consecutive home playoff games over the past 28 years.
* Josi, who tallied the first game-winning goal of his playoff career (43 GP), became the seventh player to score a go-ahead goal in the final five minutes of regulation this postseason.
* Josi (5-5—10) and Ellis (4-6—10) each recorded their 10th point of the playoffs to establish a record for points by a Predators defenseman in a single postseason. They share second in the League in scoring among defensemen, with P.K. Subban (1-7—8; t-4th) and Mattias Ekholm (0-7—7; t-7th) also in the top 10.
* Elias notes that the Predators lead the League with 36 points from defensemen in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs and have had an NHL-high 36.7% of their points come from the blue line.
PREDATORS THE LATEST TEAM TO COME BACK, WIN BY NARROW MARGIN
Nashville’s victory continued the themes of comeback wins and one-goal margins that have highlighted the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs:
* Game 2 of the Western Conference Final marked the 46th one-goal game this postseason (73 GP, 63%). The NHL record for one-goal games in a single playoff year is 51, set in 81 contests in 2007 (63%). The Predators improved to 6-2 in one-goal games in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs, while the Ducks fell to 6-3 in such contests.
* The Predators earned their fourth come-from-behind win this postseason, marking the 30th comeback victory overall in the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs (73 GP, 41.1%). Elias notes that the NHL record for comeback wins in a postseason was set in 1990, when 45 of 85 contests (52.9%) saw the winning team erase a deficit of at least one goal.
POILE, DORION, CHIARELLI NAMED FINALISTS FOR GM OF THE YEAR AWARD
David Poile of the Predators, Pierre Dorion of the Senators and Peter Chiarelli of the Oilers were named finalists for the NHL General Manager of the Year Award on Tuesday.
Voting was conducted among general managers, a panel of League executives, and print and broadcast media following the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The winner will be announced at the 2017 NHL Awards at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 21.

When teams are tied 1-1 in a best-of-seven series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the winner of Game 3 holds an all-time series record of 205-99, including a 3-2 mark this postseason . . .
