RANGERS LOOK TO REBOUND AGAINST HURRICANES
The Rangers (16-6-2, 34 points) – who have lost three consecutive games in regulationfor the first time since Oct. 11-14, 2014 (0-3-0) – look to rebound when they face the Hurricanes (8-11-4, 20 points) at Madison Square Garden. New York has won 17 of its last 18 games against Carolina dating to Feb. 22, 2011, including seven straight (CAR: 1-11-6). The Rangers also have won 10 consecutive home games against the Hurricanes dating to Jan. 5, 2011 (CAR: 0-7-3). This marks the second of four meetings this season between these Metropolitan Division rivals. New York won their first affair, 3-0 on Nov. 10 at Madison Square Garden, behind 33 saves from Henrik Lundqvist, who boasts a 21-9-1 record in 31 career appearances vs. CAR (2.03 GAA, .929 SV%, 2 SO). The teams wrap up their four-game season series with a pair of contests at PNC Arena, on Jan. 22 and March 31.

CAMPBELL, PANTHERS RALLY PAST RED WINGS
Reilly Smith evened the game with 5:22 remaining in regulation and Brian Campbellscored at 1:20 of overtime to lift the Panthers to their second straight win and a 4-2-1 record in their past seven outings.

* Campbell registered his second career overtime goal (943 GP) and first in nearly 10 years. The other: Dec. 1, 2005 at MTL (1-2—3 w/ BUF).

* Campbell also posted his 16th career game-winning goal and first since Dec. 29, 2013 vs. MTL (1-1—2).

* The Panthers improved to 7-3-0 in their last 10 meetings with the Red Wings dating to the start of the 2013-14 season (DET: 3-3-4). The Panthers also improved to 6-0-1 in their past seven visits to Joe Louis Arena dating to Nov. 20, 2009 (DET: 1-2-4).

Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin scored his sixth goal in his past seven outings (6-1—7). He paces all rookies with 10 goals and ranks third with 18 points this season (24 GP) . . . Red Wings goaltender Petr Mrazek turned aside 30 of 32 shots. He places fifth in the NHL with a .932 save percentage this season (14 GP).
