RANGERS, CAPITALS MEET FOR FIRST TIME SINCE PLAYOFFS
The Rangers and Capitals meet for the first time since the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs when they drop the puck at Madison Square Garden, the site of New York’s Game 7 overtime victory in the Second Round of last year’s postseason. These clubs have met in the playoffs in five of the past seven seasons, with the Rangers winning the past three series – all in seven games (also 2012 CSF and 2013 CQF). Last year, New York overcame a 3-1 series deficit – clinched by Derek Stepan’s goal at 11:24 of overtime in Game 7 – to eliminate Washington and reach the Eastern Conference Final for the second straight season. In doing so, the Rangers became the first team in NHL history to successfully overcome a 3-1 series deficit in consecutive playoff seasons (also 2014 SR vs. PIT). Last year’s thriller also marked the second seven-game series in Stanley Cup Playoffs history in which each game was decided by one goal. The other also featured the Capitals: the 2012 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals vs. BOS (4-3 W).

TOP SCORERS FACE OFF IN BOSTON
Three of the top four individual scorers in the NHL face off when the Stars visit the Bruins at TD Garden. Dallas boasts the top two point-producers in the League, linemates Jamie Benn (10-8—18 in 12 GP) and Tyler Seguin (5-12—17 in 12 GP), while Boston is led by forward David Krejci, who ranks fourth overall with 7-8—15 (10 GP). At 9-3-0 (18 points), the Stars sit in first place in the Central Division. The Bruins, meanwhile, are riding a seven-game point streak (6-0-1) following a 0-3-0 start to the season. These clubs have split their past 10 meetings dating to Jan. 14, 2006 (BOS: 5-3-2, DAL: 5-5-0); they will play one more time this season, Feb. 20 at DAL.

SHARKS DON HERITAGE JERSEYS
In celebration of their 25th anniversary season, the Sharks will wear heritage jerseyswhen they take on the Blue Jackets at SAP Center. Throughout 2015-16, San Jose will utilize many platforms to honor its silver campaign in the NHL, including commemorative logos, special events, alumni appearances, fan contests and more.
