STARS MATCH BEST START TO A SEASON IN FRANCHISE HISTORY
Antoine Roussel (1-2—3) posted a career-high three points – which included scoring the game-winning goal at 13:33 of the third period – to help the Stars improve to 9-2-0.

* Per Elias, the Stars equaled their best start to a season in franchise history through the first 11 games (also 9-2-0 in 2006-07 and 1996-97).

* Vernon Fiddler (1-2—3) equaled a career-high with three points (Last: 2-1—3 on April 9, 2013 vs. LAK).

* Patrick Sharp (1-1—2) has scored in three straight games (4-1—5) and has 5-3—8 in his last six games vs. SJS. Tyler Seguin (1-1—2) is tied for the League-lead with 11 assists and has 6-4—10 in nine career games vs. SJS.

* Antti Niemi made 26 saves in his first career regular-season appearance against his former club and improved to 6-1-0 (2.61 GAA, .915 SV%, 1 SO).

FLEURY, PENGUINS SHUTOUT MAPLE LEAFS
Marc-Andre Fleury stopped all 21 shots he faced and four different members of the Penguins found the back of the net in a shutout win over the Maple Leafs.

* Fleury posted the 40th shutout of his career. Fleury ranks third among active goaltenders in shutouts, trailing only FLA’s Roberto Luongo (68) and NYR’s Henrik Lundqvist (55).

* Fleury – who also posted his 14th career assist – recorded a shutout AND an assist in the same game for the second time in his career (also Oct. 25, 2014 at NSH). Per Elias, Fleury is the first goaltender in Penguins history to post a shutout AND an assist in the same game twice.

* Elias adds that in addition to Fleury, only four other goaltenders in franchise history have posted a shutout AND an assist in the same game. The others: Tomas Vokoun (March 28, 2013 vs. WPG), Tom Barrasso (Nov. 14, 1998 vs. FLA), Wendell Young (Nov. 14, 1989 vs. NYR) and Les Binkley (March 25, 1970 vs. MNS).

* Eric Fehr (1-1—2) scored a shorthanded goal in his Penguins debut. Per Elias, he became the second player in franchise history to score a shorthanded goal in his team debut. The other: Sergei Zubov on Oct. 7, 1995 vs. TOR.

* The Penguins improved to 7-0-0 in their last seven games vs. TOR dating to Nov. 27, 2013, which includes a 3-0-0 record at the Air Canada Centre.

KINGS EARN SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE WIN
Jeff Carter scored on a breakaway with 17.4 seconds remaining in overtime to power the Kings to their seventh straight victory following a 0-3-0 start to the season. The Kings have also won four consecutive games on home ice.

* Tyler Toffoli (2-0—2) scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season to move into a tie with DAL’s Jamie Benn for the League-lead.

* Jonathan Quick made 31 saves to earn his sixth consecutive win. Quick has a 1.31 goals-against average, a .955 save percentage and one shutout during his six-game winning streak.

* The Kings snapped a five-game winless streak vs. NSH dating to Nov. 2, 2013 (0-3-2).

AROUND THE RINKS
* Michael Frolik (3-0—3) posted his first career hat trick – which included scoring the game-winner with 8.7 seconds left in regulation – to lead the Flames over the Oilers. Per Elias, Frolik’s goal was the fourth latest regulation game-winning goal in franchise history, after Jarome Iginla (0:04 remaining) on Feb. 12, 1999 vs. BOS, Cory Stillman (0:04 remaining) on April 14, 1999 at VAN and Gary Suter (0:08 remaining) on Dec. 31, 1987 vs. PHI. The Flames improved to 7-0-0 in their last seven games at EDM dating to April 13, 2013.

* The Bruins defeated the Lightning to extend their point streak to seven games (6-0-1) and improve to 5-0-0 on the road this season. Per Elias, Boston tied an NHL record by winning their first five road games this season, each by at least a two-goal margin. Only two other NHL teams started a season with two-goal (or bigger) wins in each of their first five road games in a season: the 1965-66 Black Hawks and the 2010-11 Bruins.

* Evgeny Kuznetsovscored at 3:44 of overtime as the Capitals improved to 8-2-0. Per Elias, the Capitals equaled their best start to a season in franchise history through the first 10 games (also 8-2-0 in 2011-12 and 1991-92). Washington improved to 12-0-2 in their last 14 games vs. FLA dating to Feb. 7, 2012, which includes a 5-0-2 record on the road.

* David Backes opened the scoring at 2:47 of the first period and netted the decisive marker with 33.6 seconds remaining in overtime to help the Blues improve to 4-0-1 in their first five home games. The Blues also improved to 12-4-0 in their last 16 regular-season games vs. MIN dating to Jan. 14, 2012, which includes a record of 6-1-0 at home.

* Mike Cammalleri scored the decisive marker in the shootout to help the Devils snap a six-game winless streak vs. NYI dating to March 29, 2014 (0-2-4). In his eighth straight start, Cory Schneider made 24 saves through 65 minutes and denied three of four shooters in the shootout to improve to 6-2-1 (2.17 GAA, .919 SV%). The Devils improved to 6-1-0 in their last seven contests after going winless in their first four games of the season (0-3-1).

* Petr Mrazek made 33 saves and five different Red Wings scored, including rookie Dylan Larkin, who posted his first career game-winning goal 39 seconds into the final stanza as Detroit defeated Ottawa. Larkin has 3-5—8 and is tied for fourth in points among rookies.

* Blake Wheeler (1-1—2) and Bryan Little (1-1—2) each posted multiple points to help the Jets improve to 7-3-1. Wheeler has 6-8—14 in his first 11 games of the season and Little has 1-3—4 in his last two outings. The Jets improved to 4-1-0 on the road this season.

MILESTONES & BENCHMARKS
* Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg (0-2—2) became the seventh player in franchise history to record 500 assists and 800 points (299-501—800).

* Senators forward Bobby Ryan recorded the 400th point of his NHL career (192-208—400).

* John Moore scored his first goal as a member of the Devils (10 GP). Matt Cullen (1-1—2) scored his first goal as a member of the Penguins (11 GP).

* Stars defenseman Jason Demers (1-1—2) and Sharks forward Matt Nieto both scored their first career shorthanded goals. Oilers defenseman Brandon Davidsonscored the first power-play goal of his NHL career (17 GP).

* Jets forward Drew Stafford (600 GP), Jets defenseman Tyler Myers (400 GP), Panthers forward Derek MacKenzie (400 GP) and Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison (400 GP) all skated in milestone games.

* Jets forward Andrew Coppscored the first goal of his NHL career (12 GP).

* New Jersey forward Bobby Farnham (1-1—2) recorded the first points of his NHL career (15 GP) in his Devils debut. Farnham was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh on Oct. 26.

LOOSE PUCKS
Islanders forward Frans Nielsen netted his 39th career shootout goal and shares a five-way tie for second on the NHL’s all-time shootout goals list, one shy of Jonathan Toews (40) for the all-time lead... Stars defenseman John Klingberg (0-2—2) extended his career-high point streak to seven games (2-7—9). Per Elias, Klingberg’s point streak is the longest by a Stars defenseman since Sergei Zubov posted a nine-game point streak from March 24 – April 15, 2006 (3-7—10)... Bruins forward Brad Marchand (1-1—2) extended his point streak to six games, equaling a career-high (5-4—9)... Wild forward Jason Zucker (1-0—1) extended his career-high point streak to six games (3-4—7)... Wild forward Thomas Vanek (0-1—1) extended his point streak to six games (2-5—7)... Oilers forward Taylor Hall (1-2—3) extended his point streak to five games, which includes three consecutive multi-point games (3-6—9)... Kings forward Milan Lucic (0-1—1) extended his point streak to five games (2-4—6)... Senators defenseman Erik Karlsson registered his 11th assist of the season and is tied for the League-lead... Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl (1-2—3) registered a career-high three points and has 3-2—5 in his first two games of the season... Penguins forward Phil Kessel played his first game in Toronto since being acquired from the Maple Leafs in the offseason.
