PRICE WINS BIG AT 2015 NHL AWARDS
Goaltender Carey Price, who backstopped the Canadiens to their best regular season in 26 years, was an historic four-time winner at the 2015 NHL Awards, which were held on Wednesday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Price captured the Hart Memorial Trophy, Ted Lindsay Award and Vezina Trophy. He also accepted the William M. Jennings Trophy, which he shared (w/ Corey Crawford) at the conclusion of the regular season.

Price became the first goaltender in NHL history to sweep all four awards in the same season.

The 27-year-old Anahim Lake, B.C., native led the NHL in wins (44), goals-against average (1.96) and save percentage (.933), becoming the first goaltender to pace the League in all three categories since 1990-91 (Ed Belfour). Price also surpassed the Canadiens’ franchise record for wins in one season (42), set by Jacques Plante in 1955-56 and equaled by Plante in 1961-62 and Ken Dryden in 1975-76.

“It hasn’t really sunk in yet,” Price said. “I’m just truly grateful just to be here. I don’t really know what to say. It’s been an amazing experience. This whole season has been just amazing. There is still one more thing I want to get, though.”
