ANDERSEN GUIDES DUCKS TO GAME 1 WIN OVER BLACKHAWKS
Frederik Andersen made 32 saves, including 16 in the first period, to backstop the Ducks to a 1-0 series lead over the Blackhawks in the Western Conference Final.

* The Ducks improved to 9-1 in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, including a 3-0 record in Game 1s. It marks the first time in franchise history they have won nine of 10 games at any point in the postseason. They last posted such a stretch during the regular season from Dec. 31, 2013 – Jan. 18, 2014 (9-1-0).

* The Ducks also improved to 6-0 at Honda Center during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs (outscoring opponents 22-7). That is one victory shy of the longest home winning streak in franchise postseason history, established from April 30 – June 7, 2003 (7-0).

* Andersen has been in net for all 10 Ducks games this postseason, compiling a 9-1 record with a 1.86 goals-against average, .930 save percentage and one shutout. He has allowed two or fewer goals in eight of those appearances.

* Andersen, who made an acrobatic paddle save on Patrick Kane to preserve a scoreless tie in the first period, also improved to 9-0 at Honda Center in his postseason career (1.55 GAA, .948 SV%, 1 SO). Elias says it is the longest home winning streak to begin a career by any goaltender in Stanley Cup Playoffs history. Kings goaltenderJonathan Quick was the last to post such a stretch at any point in his career, doing so at STAPLES Center from June 11, 2012 – June 4, 2013 (9-0).

* Andersen, a third-round selection (87th overall) by the Ducks in the 2012 NHL Draft, went 35-12-5 in 54 appearances during the regular season (2.38 GAA, .914 SV%, 3 SO) – one victory shy of the single-season franchise record established by Jean-Sebastien Giguere in 2006-07. The Herning, Denmark, native also joined Bill Durnan (MTL) as the fastest goaltenders in NHL history to reach 50 career wins, doing so in his 68th decision on March 3 at ARI.

* Three Ducks players registered multiple points: Hampus Lindholm, Jakob Silfverberg and Nate Thompson (all w/ 1-1—2).

* Silfverberg posted his third consecutive multi-point performance (2-4—6), equaling a franchise playoff record also achieved this year by Corey Perry (April 22 – May 3: 2-6—8) and Ryan Getzlaf (April 30 – May 5: 1-7—8). Per Elias, the Ducks became the first team to have three different players each register three straight multi-point games in one playoff year since the 2012 Penguins (Chris Kunitz, Evgeni Malkin and Jordan Staal– all 3 GP).

* Silfverberg shares second in the NHL with 4-9—13 this postseason (10 GP); he had 4-2—6 in his first 25 career playoff games prior to this year. The 24-year-old Gävle, Sweden, native also established career highs in goals (13), assists (26) and points (39) during the regular season (81 GP).

* Thompson, who was mic’d up when he scored an insurance goal in the third period and set up the eventual game-winner in the second, recorded his first career multi-point playoff game. He has 3-4—7 in 28 career postseason contests, including 2-1—3 this year (6 GP).

* Lindholm added his second career multi-point playoff game. He has 2-6—8 in 10 postseason games this year after collecting just 0-2—2 in 11 such contests in 2014 (his rookie season).

* Kyle Palmieri scored the game-winning goal, his first such tally in 27 career playoff outings. He has 13 game-winning goals in his regular-season career (198 GP).

* Matt Beleskey saw his goal streak end at five games (a franchise postseason record), but earned one assist to stretch his point streak to six contests (5-1—6).

* The Ducks improved to 5-0 when scoring first during the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. They shared third in the NHL with 36 wins in that scenario during the regular season (36-5-6).
