CARDIAC DUCKS STAGE (ANOTHER) THIRD-PERIOD COMEBACK
Down 1-0 after 40 minutes, the Ducks scored two unanswered goals in the third period – including the tiebreaker by Jakob Silfverberg with 21 seconds remaining in regulation – to take a 2-0 series lead against the Jets.

* The Ducks also faced a one-goal deficit after 40 minutes in Game 1, but scored three unanswered goals in the third period to pull ahead in the series. Elias says they becamethe first team in Stanley Cup Playoffs history to take a 2-0 series lead when trailing at the start of the third period in each of the first two games.

* The Ducks’ third-period comebacks have continued a trend from the regular season. In 2014-15, Anaheim set an NHL record for wins when trailing at any point in the third period (18). The Ducks also matched a League record with 12 victories when trailing after two periods (12-23-0).

* Via Elias, Silfverberg recorded the latest go-ahead goal in regulation in Ducks playoff history. Sandis Ozolinsh previously held the mark with his goal at 18:54 of the third period in the team’s series-clinching win on May 5, 2003 vs. DAL.

* Elias also notes that Silfverberg posted the latest tiebreaking goal in regulation in the last 287 Stanley Cup Playoff games – since Raffi Torresscored at 19:41 of the third period to lift the Canucks to a 1-0 victory in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final on June 1, 2011 vs. BOS. A common thread between the two goals: Ryan Kesler earned an assist on both tallies.

* Silfverberg, who registered career highs in goals (13), assists (26) and points (39) during the regular season, potted his fifth career postseason goal and second game-winning marker (also May 12, 2014 vs. LAK).

* Patrick Maroon notched the tying goal at 10:43 of the third period. He also set career highs in assists (25) and points (34) during the regular season and now has 3-6—9 in 15 career playoff appearances.

* Frederik Andersen made 28 saves to pick up his fifth career postseason victory (5-2 in 9 GP). He has allowed two goals or fewer in eight of his past 10 appearances dating to March 9 at VAN (7-3-0 in that span).

DOWN TO THE WIRE
Ducks forward Jakob Silfverberg scored the second game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation thus far in the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs (16 GP). The other such goal was recorded by Flames defenseman Kris Russell, who scored with 29.6 seconds remaining in Game 1 at VAN.

* Elias says there only was one game-winning goal posted in the final minute of regulation during the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs (93 GP) – Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty tallied the series-clinching goal with 42.6 seconds remaining in Game 4 of the First Round vs. TBL (on April 22, 2014).

CROSBY, KUNITZ POWER PENGUINS PAST RANGERS
Sidney Crosby scored twice and Chris Kunitz posted 1-2—3 to help the Penguins overcome an early 1-0 deficit en route to evening their series with the Rangers.

* Crosby registered his eighth career multi-goal playoff game and first since May 17, 2013 vs. OTT (3-0—3).

* Prior to Game 2, Crosby had just one goal in his last 19 postseason contests dating to May 24, 2013 vs. OTT. That one goal also came against the Rangers – on May 5, 2014 at NYR (GWG).

* Overall, Crosby is tied for fourth among active players and ranks third in Penguins history with 43-73—116 in his playoff career (97 GP).

* Kunitz matched a career high for points in a postseason game and also recorded his second game-winning goal in the playoffs. He last achieved both feats on May 5, 2013, when he notched 2-1—3, including the overtime winner, at NYI.

* Marc-Andre Fleury made 23 saves to pick up his 53rd career postseason victory, which leads all active goaltenders (8 ahead of Jonathan Quick). His 53 such wins also rank second in franchise history, three back of Tom Barrasso (56), and are tied for 16th all-time (w/ Gerry Cheevers).

* Brandon Sutter (1-1—2) added his first career multi-point playoff game, including the tying goal midway through the second period. He matched a career high with 21 goals during the regular season, a feat first achieved in 2009-10 (w/ CAR).

* ICYMI: Evgeni Malkin aided Fleury with a goal-line save midway through the third period.

TARASENKO’S HAT TRICK LIFTS BLUES OVER WILD
Vladimir Tarasenko recorded his first career playoff hat trick – and the 13th in franchise history – to help the Blues knot their series with the Wild.

* Tarasenko became the first Blues player to post a hat trick in the postseason since April 12, 2004 vs. SJS (Mike Sillinger).

* Tarasenko, who led the Blues and shared fifth in the NHL with 37 goals in 2014-15, also registered two hat tricks during the regular season – on Oct. 28 at DAL and Dec. 16 vs. LAK. He has notched one other multi-goal game in the playoffs – on April 23, 2014 at CHI (2-0—2).

* Jake Allen made 24 saves to earn his first career postseason victory (3 GP). He became the first rookie goaltender to win a playoff game for the Blues since April 14, 1990 vs. TOR (Curtis Joseph). Allen led all rookie goaltenders and set a franchise rookie record with 22 victories during the regular season.

* Overall, Allen has allowed two or fewer goals in each of his last 10 outings dating toMarch 15 at DAL (6-2-1, 1.36 GAA, .949 SV%, 1 SO).

* Patrik Berglund added the other Blues goal, while Kevin Shattenkirk andAlexander Steen each collected two assists. Shattenkirk, who also posted two helpers in Game 1, became the first Blues defenseman to record multiple assists in consecutive playoff games since April 22-25, 1999 vs. PHX (Al MacInnis: 2-6—8 in 3 GP).

* ICYMI: The Blues made a pair of goal-line stops in their Game 2 victory – the first a desperation stick save by Allen and then a heroic effort by David Backes.

JOHNSON, LIGHTNING EVEN SERIES WITH RED WINGS
Tyler Johnson (2-0—2) recorded his first career multi-goal playoff game to power the Lightning to a 4-0 lead en route to tying their series with the Red Wings.

* Johnson, who entered Game 2 with 1-1—2 in five career playoff outings, established career highs in goals (29), assists (43) and points (72) during the regular season. That included seven multi-goal performances, which was tied for sixth in the NHL.

* Ben Bishop made 23 saves to pick up his first career postseason victory (2 GP). He has an 8-3-0 record in 12 career appearances vs. DET (regular season and playoffs).

* Valtteri Filppula, who played his first eight NHL seasons with the Red Wings and helped the team capture the Stanley Cup in 2007-08, posted 1-1—2, including his first playoff goal since May 18, 2013 at CHI (w/ DET).

* Alex Killorn (GWG) and Andrej Sustr supplied the other Lightning goals. Sustr scored in his fifth career postseason game; he has one goal in 117 career regular-season appearances.

* Nikita Nesterov and Steven Stamkos each added two assists. Nesterov has points in five consecutive games dating to April 4 at FLA (2-4—6) after totaling 1-3—4 in his first 24 career outings.

* The Lightning, who led the NHL and set franchise records with 32 home wins and 65 home points during the regular season, earned their first playoff victory at Amalie Arena since May 25, 2011 vs. BOS.
