Brodeur Posts 690th Career Win in Home Debut With Blues:
Making his debut at Scottrade Center as a member of the Blues, Brodeur made 32 saves to backstop St. Louis to a 4-2 win over the visiting Panthers. Signed on Dec. 2, Brodeur recorded his first win with St. Louis on Dec. 6 when he relieved Jake Allen after the first period and backstopped the Blues to a 6-4 victory over the NY Islanders. Brodeur is the NHL’s all-time leader among goaltenders in games played (1,262), wins (690) and shutouts (124). The 32 saves were his most since stopping 33 with the Devils in a 3-0 shutout against Tampa Bay on Dec. 14, 2013.

* The Blues (18-8-2) leapfrogged Chicago into first place in the Central Division. The club improved to 14-1-0 this season when scoring at least three goals and has not lost in regulation in their past six home appearances (5-0-1).

KLEIN NETS OVERTIME WINNER FOR RANGERS
Defenseman Kevin Klein netted the overtime winner as the Rangers edged the Penguins. The Blueshirts have earned at least one point in eight consecutive games against Metropolitan Division foes (7-0-1) and in eight of their past nine regular-season contests against Pittsburgh dating to April 2013 (5-1-3).

* Klein notched his second overtime goal and third game-winning tally of the season. He now has three game-winners in 25 contests this season after posting two in his previous 433 appearances. Klein is tied for the lead among NHL defensemen in overtime goals (2), game-winning goals (3) and even-strength goals (6).

* Rick Nash (1-0—1) scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season and extended his point streak to eight games (6-3—9), the longest by a Rangers player this season. Nash is one game shy of his career-best point streak of nine games (9-7—16) set from Dec. 30, 2005 to Jan. 16, 2006. Nash leads the Rangers in points (18-10—28) and ranks second in the League with 18 goals.
