PERRY, DUCKS MAKE IT SEVEN STRAIGHT
Corey Perry posted 1-1—2, including his League-leading ninth goal of the season just 1:28 after the opening face-off, to power the Ducks to their seventh consecutive victory.

* At 7-1-0, the Ducks continue to match their best start to a season both in terms of wins (7; 2013-14) and points (14; 2006-07 and 2013-14).

* The Ducks now have posted four winning streaks of seven or more games since the start of the 2013-14 season. That includes a franchise-record 10-game winning streak Dec. 6-28.

* Perry also now is tied for the League lead with 12 points this season. He is joined by teammate Ryan Getzlaf (3-9—12), who also recorded 1-1—2 Friday.

* According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Perry and Getzlaf have matched a franchise record for the most points through the team’s first eight games of a season. Paul Kariya established the mark with 5-7—12 in the opening eight contests of the 1998-99 campaign.

* Sami Vatanen also collected 1-1—2, including his first career game-winning goal (64 GP).

* Making his second start of the season, John Gibson recorded 16 saves to improve to 4-1-0 with a 2.19 goals-against average, .923 save percentage and one shutout in five career regular-season appearances.

DROUIN, DRAISAITL SCORE FIRST GOALS IN WINS
The past two No. 3 overall selections in the NHL Draft – Jonathan Drouin (by TBL in 2013) and Leon Draisaitl (by EDM in 2014) – both scored their first career goals in wins Friday. Drouin (19) and Draisaitl (18) became the fourth and fifth teenagers to find the back of the net this season, following Washington’s Andre Burakovsky (19), Columbus’ Marko Dano (19) and Florida’s Aleksander Barkov (19).

* Drouin collected the primary assist on Steven Stamkos’ opening goal and then added his first NHL marker to help the Lightning improve to 3-1-0 on their five-game road trip, which concludes Saturday in Minnesota.

* According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Drouin is the fifth Lightning teenager to record a goal in the last 10 years, joining Brett Connolly, Victor Hedman, Stamkos and James Wright.

BENN, STARS EDGE DEVILS
Jamie Benn scored in regulation and then added the clinching goal in the shootout to help the Stars extend their point streak to five games (4-0-1).

* Benn found the back of the net for the fifth consecutive game (5-4—9), one shy of his career-long goal streak set March 1-11, 2011 (6-1—7).

* Tyler Seguin added an assist to extend his point streak to five games (5-6—11).

* Jason Spezza (0-1—1) posted the decisive goal in the shootout, improving to 23-for-59 (39.0%) all-time in tiebreakers with 10 game-deciding scores.

* Kari Lehtonen made 25 saves – and denied both shootout attempts he faced – to improve to 4-0-2 with a 2.73 goals-against average and .915 save percentage in six appearances this season.

AVALANCHE ROLL PAST CANUCKS
Jarome Iginla (2-1—3), Matt Duchene (1-2—3) and Tyson Barrie (0-3—3) each recorded three points to help the Avalanche overcome an early 2-1 deficit and snap a four-game skid.

* Iginla now has 562 career goals, moving past Mike Modano (561) and Guy Lafleur (560) for 23rd in NHL history.

* Iginla also now has 102 career multi-goal games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, that ranks second among active NHL players; only Jaromir Jagr (120) has more such performances.

* Duchene posted his first three-point game since Dec. 12, when he recorded 2-1—3 (and the game-deciding goal) in a 4-3 shootout victory at WPG.

* Barrie matched a career high for assists/points in one game. His other such performance came Feb. 8 at NYI (0-3—3).

LOOSE PUCKS
The Devils suffered their 18th consecutive shootout defeat dating to March 15, 2013 at PHI. Despite the loss, they extended their home point streak against the Stars to nine games (7-0-2) dating to Dec. 20, 2000 . . . Blue Jackets forward Ryan Johansen posted an assist to stretch his point streak to seven games (5-5—10) . . . Lightning forward Tyler Johnson collected two helpers to extend his assist/point streak to five games (0-6—6) . . . Henrik Sedin scored 10 seconds after the opening face-off, marking the third-fastest goal by a Canucks player to start a game. CANADIAN TEAMS TO STAGE COORDINATED TRIBUTE
To honor the brave soldiers who lost their lives this past week in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu and Ottawa, and to show appreciation for the men and women whose selfless actions stopped the attackers and aided the victims, the Senators, Canadiens and Maple Leafs will stage a coordinated tribute Saturday immediately preceding the 7:00 p.m. ET puck drops at their respective arenas.

The show of solidarity, to be staged simultaneously by the three Canadian teams at Canadian Tire Centre, Bell Centre and Air Canada Centre, will be broadcast live on CBC, Sportsnet ONE, City and TVA Sports in Canada and on NHL Network in the United States.

SIX GAMES HIGHLIGHT CANADA’S NATIONAL SCHEDULE
Six games highlight Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada schedule: the Bruins visit the Maple Leafs in the first of four meetings this season (CBC, NHLN-US); the Rangers face the Canadiens in their first matchup since the 2014 Eastern Conference Final, a six-game series victory by New York (CITY, TVA); the Senators play host to the Devils in their first game following Wednesday’s tragic events in Ottawa (SN1); the Flyers look to continue their eight-game, 16-year home winning streak against the Red Wings at Wells Fargo Center (SN360); the Blackhawks visit the Blues in their first meeting since the opening round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, a six-game series victory by Chicago (FX-CA); and the Capitals continue their three-game Western swing against the Flames (CBC, TVA2).

FORMER TEAMMATES FACE OFF IN NASHVILLE
The Predators look to continue their hot start to the season when they play host to the Penguins at Bridgestone Arena. At 5-0-2, Nashville is the only remaining team without a regulation loss and is off to its best start since opening the 2010-11 campaign with points in eight straight contests (5-0-3). Pittsburgh, meanwhile, is coming off consecutive losses, including a 4-3 overtime defeat Thursday in Detroit. This game pits several former teammates against each other for the first time: James Neal, who scored a hat trick in Nashville’s most recent game Thursday, faces the Penguins for the first time since a draft day trade that sent him to the Music City in exchange for longtime Predators Patric Hornqvist and Nick Spaling.
