THREE HARD LAPS

* The Islanders rallied again to extend their point streak to 15 games, matching a franchise record last achieved over 36 years ago.

*Marc-Andre Fleury made an early save of the year candidate en route to earning a milestone win.

* Cale Makar continued his career-opening point-per-game pace and joined a rare list of rookie defensemen.

ISLANDERS EXTEND POINT STREAK, TIE FRANCHISE RECORD VIA ANOTHER RALLY
Josh Bailey and Ryan Pulock each scored in the final five minutes of regulation as the Islanders erased a 4-2 Penguins lead before Brock Nelson (2-1—3) tallied the overtime winner. New York improved to 14-0-1 in its last 15 games to tie the longest point streak in franchise history, a mark set Nov. 4 – Dec. 9, 1978 (12-0-3) and equaled Nov. 4 – Dec. 2, 1980 (13-0-2) and Jan. 21 – Feb. 20, 1982 (15-0-0).

* The Islanders became the ninth team in the last seven years to record a point streak of at least 15 games.

* Tuesday marked the second straight game in which New York overcame a multi-goal third-period deficit to win (also Nov. 16). The Islanders rallied from a multi-goal third-period deficit to win consecutive contests for the second time in franchise history, following Dec. 31, 1985 and Jan. 2, 1986.

DID YOU KNOW?
Pittsburgh, New York’s opponent Tuesday, overcame a 3-0 deficit in the third period on Nov. 7 to snap the Islanders’ win streak at 10 games – their second-longest in franchise history.

* Overall, 24.2% of all games contested this season have seen a team erase a multi-goal deficit (regardless of result; 80 GP). Nearly half of those 80 games saw a team erase a multi-goal deficit in the third period (42.5%; 34 GP).

* New York, which also tied the contest 2-2 after falling behind 2-0, became the first team to erase two multi-goal deficits in a game this season.

SEVERAL OTHER PLAYER, TEAM STREAKS EXTENDED TUESDAY
Several other player and team streaks were extended Tuesday:

* The Oilers tandem of Leon Draisaitl (10-18—28 in 13 GP) and Connor McDavid (9-11—20 in 8 GP) each found the score sheet to extend their point streak, with the former owning the longest active run in the NHL. McDavid (15-28—43 in 23 GP), who ranks second in NHL scoring behind Draisaitl (16-28—44 in 23 GP), became the first Oilers player to record 20 or more points in both October and November within a single season since Wayne Gretzky in 1987-88 (Oct.: 7-19—26 in 11 GP; Nov.: 11-23—34 in 13 GP).

* Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane (0-2—2) extended his point streak to 10 games (8-11—19), the sixth double-digit run of his NHL career. His six career point streaks of at least 10 games are tied with Pat LaFontaine for the most in NHL history among U.S.-born players and are the second-most by a skater with the Blackhawks behind Denis Savard (11x).

* Defenseman Miro Heiskanen (1-1—2), one of five Dallas players to find the score sheet multiple times Tuesday, recorded his third straight multi-point game to help the Stars extend their point streak to nine contests (8-0-1) on the heels of a 4-8-1 (9 points) start to the season. Dallas recorded at least one point in nine or more consecutive games for the 14th time in franchise history and first since Feb. 21 – March 13, 2012 (10-0-1).

* Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 38 of 39 shots – including 16 saves in the third period – to backstop the Jets to their fifth consecutive road win dating to Nov. 1. Winnipeg matched its franchise record for longest road win streak, a mark set Feb. 23 – March 8, 2018 and equaled less than a year later from Nov. 24 – Dec. 14, 2018.

FLEURY EARNS 450TH WIN OF NHL CAREER
Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 31 shots – including a sprawling highlight-reel glove save – to become the seventh goaltender in NHL history to earn 450 career regular-season wins.

MAKAR CONTINUES SCORCHING START TO NHL CAREER, JOINS RARE LIST
Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar, who leads all rookies in scoring this season (5-18—23 in 21 GP), collected an assist in his hometown and factored on five consecutive Colorado goals dating to its second marker on Nov. 16 (0-5—5). Makar became the sixth rookie defenseman in NHL history to assist on five consecutive team goals, joining Detroit’s Willie Huber (Feb. 18-25, 1979), Calgary’s Gary Suter (April 4, 1986), Pittsburgh’s Ryan Whitney (Nov. 3-7, 2005), San Jose’s Matt Carle (Oct. 13-21, 2006) and Philadelphia’s Alexandre Picard (Feb. 1-8, 2007).

PASTRNAK ADDS TO LEAGUE-LEADING GOAL TOTAL, ECLIPSES 150 IN CAREER
Bruins forward David Pastrnak scored his League-leading 18th and 19th goals of the season (19-15—34 in 21 GP) to eclipse 150 regular-season markers in his NHL career (151-167—318 in 341 GP). Among players to debut with Boston, only one required fewer games than Pastrnak to reach the 150-goal mark (all w/ BOS): Barry Pederson on Jan. 27, 1986 (316 GP).

* Aside from Pastrnak and Pederson, four other players required 341 or fewer games to score their first 150 career regular-season goals with the Bruins (NHL debut or otherwise): Phil Esposito (251 GP), Cam Neely (268 GP), Peter McNab (307 GP) and Ken Hodge (332 GP), who debuted with Chicago, Vancouver, Buffalo and Chicago, respectively.

* Pastrnak has scored 126 of his 150 career goals since the start of the 2016-17 season (126-139—265 in 244 GP), tied for the third-most among all players over that span.

SENATORS, PAGEAU CONTINUE RECENT STRING OF SUCCESS
Anthony Duclair (2-1—3), Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Brady Tkachuk each found the back of the net to help the Senators improve to 3-1-0 in their last four games.

* Pageau (12-4—16 in 21 GP), who is expected to contest six more games before December, has scored nine of his team-leading 12 goals since Nov. 4 (9-0—9 in 9 GP). Only three different players in franchise history have scored more goals in a single month of November.
