THREE TEAMS CONTINUE TREND OF HIGH-SCORING PERFORMANCES

The Jets (7-1 W), Canucks (6-1 W) and Ducks (6-5 SOW) boosted the number of times a team has scored at least six goals in a game this season to 84 (including shootout-deciding goals), the highest total through 460 games of a season since 1996-97 (90) and eleven more than at the same point last season (73).

YOUNG STARS PROPEL CANUCKS IN OFFENSIVE OUTBURST
Elias Pettersson (1-4—5) collected his second career five-point outing and Brock Boeser (3-0—3) netted his second career hat trick to propel the Canucks to their second win in as many contests.

* Pettersson posted his second career five-point outing (also Nov. 2 vs. COL). The fifth-overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft, who leads all first-year skaters with 15-15—30, became the sixth rookie in the NHL’s expansion era (since 1967-68) and second in as many seasons to record multiple outings with at least five points in a single season. Pettersson also joined Bryan Trottier as the only NHL rookies to accomplish the feat before the end of December.

* Pettersson (26 GP) required the fewest appearances by a Canucks player to record his first 30 career points. Overall, he has required the fewest games to record the first 30 points of his NHL career since Evgeni Malkin in 2006-07 (25 GP).

* Boeser, who led the Canucks with 29 goals as a rookie in 2017-18, improved to 9-8—17 in 19 games this season. He leads all Vancouver skaters with 38 goals and 72 points (tied) since the start of the 2017-18 season.

All six goals tallied by the Canucks on Sunday were scored by a player age 23 or younger. It marked the second time this season that players 23 and under combined to score at least six goals in the same game for the same team: The Bruins had seven such instances on Oct 13: David Pastrnak (3x), Jake DeBrusk (2x), Charlie McAvoy and Anders Bjork.

* Prior to the Canucks and Bruins this season, it had only happened three times since the start of the 2012-13 season. The Oilers did it twice in 2012-13 (April 3 and 27, 2013) and the Jets did so on Nov. 8, 2016.

* In total, 60% of Canucks goals this year have been scored by a player age 23 or younger (57 of 95): Elias Pettersson (15), Bo Horvat (14), Jake Virtanen (9), Brock Boeser (9), Nikolay Goldobin (5), Tyler Motte (4) and Adam Gaudette (1).

SEVEN DIFFERENT SCORERS LEAD JETS TO 10TH HOME WIN
Seven different skaters found the back of the net with Josh Morrissey (1-2—3) and Mark Scheifele (0-3—3) pacing the offense to help the Jetsearn their 10th win at Bell MTS Place this season. Winnipeg, who tallied eight goals on Nov. 24 at STL, became the eighth different team to post multiple outings of seven or more goals this season.

* The Jets had seven or more different goal scorers in the same game for the ninth time in Jets/Thrashers franchise history and third time since the club relocated to Winnipeg (Oct. 27, 2011 and Nov. 27, 2017). It marked the 10th time this season a team has had seven different goal scorers in the same game and the second time this week (CGY: 7 on Dec. 4).

* Blake Wheeler, who leads all Jets skaters with 5-32—37 in 29 GP this season, scored to register his 15th career shorthanded point since joining the club during the 2010-11 campaign, the most by any player in Jets/Thrashers franchise history.

* Winnipeg, who led the League in home wins (32) and points (66) in 2017-18, improved to 10-4-2 at Bell MTS Place this season. Only two teams have more home wins in 2018-19 (TBL: 13-4-0 and NSH: 11-5-0).

DUCKS OUTLAST DEVILS IN BACK-AND-FORTH AFFAIR
In a contest that featured five game-tying goals, including one by the Devils with 58 seconds remaining in regulation, the Ducks benefited from multi-point efforts from Ondrej Kase (1-2—3), Brandon Montour (1-1—2) and Ryan Getzlaf (0-2—2) to improve to 8-2-0 in their last 10 contests.

* Sunday’s game marked the sixth contest in 2018-19 to feature at least five game-tying tallies - the most in a single season since 2010-11 (7 instances). New Jersey’s Marcus Johansson, who evened the score with 0:58 remaining in regulation, is the only player to score multiple game-tying goals in the final minute of regulation this season (also Nov. 23 vs. NYI).

* The last time the Ducks were involved in a game with five game-tying goals was Feb. 16, 2011 vs. WSH; the Devils last participated in such a contest on Feb. 15, 2009 vs. SJS. The Avalanche and Canucks combined for a season-high six game-tying goals on Nov. 2 - a contest that witnessed Vancouver’s Elias Pettersson tie the game with 0:36 remaining in regulation.

* The two clubs combined for three goals in the first 2:47 of the opening frame to mark the fastest three goals by two teams to open a game this season. The Golden Knights and Blackhawks combined for the fastest three goals at any point of a game this season, when Artem Anisimov, Jonathan Marchessault and Alex Tuch scored 0:53 apart on Dec. 6.

CANADIENS SNATCH VICTORY WITH ANOTHER LATE GO-AHEAD GOAL

Tomas Tatar broke a 2-2 tie with 1:17 remaining in regulation to lift the Canadiens to their third consecutive victory. It marked the fourth time in 2018-19 that Montreal scored a go-ahead goal in the final 5:00 of regulation, tied with Toronto for the most this season.

* Montreal has scored a League-leading three go-ahead goals in the final 2:00 of regulation this season: Brendan Gallagher on Oct. 17 (59:49),Max Domi on Nov. 1 (59:38) and Tatar on Dec. 9 (58:43).

* In total, there have been 37 go-ahead goals scored in the final 5:00 of regulation this season, including 15 that have come in the final 2:00 of the third period.
