Daly is probably doing the right thing.  April 15 will be extended as the USA is still out of control and Canada won’t be decreasing people catching this brutal pandemic any time soon.

The NHL top management has difficult and large issues (many). Hope it doesn’t drag on paste Sept 2020.  A lot of people here in Canada are not following the rules 1. Stay Home or when out keep (2m) distance from other people 2. Wash hand A LOT.  People are not listening, Crowds walking on the Stanley Park SeaWall, Medical professionals going to a (250 people) Snowmobile Rally and 150 having dinner together after the rally,  Hoarders are bluntly pissing me off, shelves are empty, drugs for Prescriptions Doctors filling their pockets, on and on.

Some very low income and street people, are in big trouble.  Can Trudeau and Trump make the right decisions Scary Thought

By the sounds of it , the United States, are having same problems that are extending this pandemic.

Honestly now, I’m watching all this play out, and can’t understand what the point is. The league is kicking the can down the road, little by little and hoping it all works out ASAP. Meanwhile, most governments are completely failing to contain this. While some of this could be the fault of governments failing to act on information that was in their hands very early on, some of it is also the fault of the virus itself, since it can take 14+ days for symptoms to become evident.

What I’m trying to say is, this whole thing about people going back to work by Easter, the league coming back by the 15th, or any other short-term date is unreasonable. It’s in everyone’s best interest to follow the lead of the ECHL and just cancel the season already. The league can follow the ECHL by playing games virtually via NHL’20 and stream it on Twitch, and gives scientists time to discover a vaccine and a cure.

Or don’t. The result will be the same. This thing isn’t anywhere near over, and it’s time people realize that and plan ahead.
