Now that we are into the Conference Finals for the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs (Western Conference Final Game Two between the Los Angeles Kings and the Chicago Blackhawks is tomorrow night; Chicago leads the series 1-0 thus far) it is pretty obvious that either the Kings, the Blackhawks, the Canadiens, or the Rangers will be the Stanley Cup champions; but don’t fret fans of the other 26 teams without a major rooting interest we have something for you to be involved in (and of course the fans of the 4 vying for the Cup still).
The National Hockey League and Enterprise have partnered up for the NHL Hat Trick Challenge - an online prediction game featuring a series of questions to test hockey fans’ ability to predict various game outcomes. The individual who scores the most hat tricks throughout the playoffs will win the Hat Trick Challenge and receive a trip for two to the 2015 NHL All-Star Game!
Now, how do you play? The NHL Hat Trick Challenge Presented by Enterprise tests your ability to predict what happens on the ice.
The objective is to accumulate the most “Hat Tricks”. To score a hat trick, you must correctly answer all three questions based on possible outcomes involving NHL games. There are three new questions each day and each question only has one right answer.
Will the Flyers win the game?
Will the Canucks score three or more goals?
Will Ryan Miller make 30 or more saves?
Clearly the answer to these three games is “no” however, you get the idea of the game.
The Grand Prize is awarded to entry that has accumulated the most Hat Tricks during the season.
You do not have to play every day to qualify for prizing, but it certainly will help your chances.
I have created a Kukla’s Korner league so come on over and sign up and invite your friends, family and co-workers. So what are you waiting for? Give it a shot!
