NEW YORK, July 26, 2019 – The New York Rangers announced today that the team has agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Pavel Buchnevich.

Buchnevich, 24, skated in 64 games with the Rangers this past season, registering 21 goals and 17 assists for 38 points, along with 13 penalty minutes. He established career-highs in several categories in 2018-19, including goals, even strength goals (14), power play goals (seven), and average ice time (15:10). Buchnevich led the Rangers (min. 10 games played) in goals per 60 minutes of ice time during the past season (1.30), and he also ranked fourth among all Rangers in points per 60 minutes of ice time (2.35). Buchnevich tied for second on the Blueshirts in power play goals, ranked third in goals, and ranked fourth in points in 2018-19, and 30 of his 38 points during the season were either a goal or the primary assist on a goal. He tallied a point in eight of his final 10 games of the season (five goals, four assists), and he posted a career-high seven-game point streak from Mar. 16, 2019 at Minnesota to Mar. 31, 2019 at Philadelphia.
