New Life In Vancouver

The Vancouver Canucks will introduce John Tortorella as their new head coach at a 4:00pm ET press conference tomorrow.

The Canucks seem to be on a down-swing, will Tortorella be able to get them back into the Stanley Cup picture or will we see a further decline in Vancouver?

Your thoughts...

This is awesome….for someone who doesn’t like or respect the Vancouver organization. Give em hell, Torts.

If the Canucks didn’t exist, we’d have to invent them.

How in the hell is this going to work?

He’ll lose the Sendins by the 3/4-way mark through the next regular season. The media will stay with him at least through the end of the season, then turn on him during the off-season. Once they turn on him it will be u-g-l-y.

One year, that’s the shelf-life of this experiment.

I would expect a killer first season with a decent playoff run, but after a season it will go downhill.

Good coaches are cheerleaders for the first year or two; great coaches keep the players ears through the years.
