Negotiating with Sidney Crosby

Based on the free spending and length of contracts handed out this week, can you imagine the chaos that would erupt with Sidney Crosby available in unrestricted free agency?
Crosby isn’t eligible until 2012, but he is entering the final year of his entry level contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Discussions between the Penguins and Crosby’s agent Pat Brisson are ongoing with the expectation an extension will be announced soon.
However, this negotiation isn’t as simple as Mario Lemeiux writing a cheque.
