NBC Universal had a conference call today to discuss third quarter earnings with investors....
via AdWeek,
At the tail end of Friday’s call, NBC briefly addressed the impact the National Hockey League lockout is having on its NBC Sports Network operations. “I can tell you we’re pretty disappointed with regard to the lockout,” (Comcast chairman and CEO Brian) Roberts said. “I don’t think we should say a heck of a lot more. I think that we’re just hopeful that the ownership and the players can get together and get on with the season.”
Comcast owns the NHL franchise Philadelphia Flyers.

You’d think alot of the major sponsors would put some serious pressure on them to get things going as well. I can’t imagine these large corps. sitting on their hands not expecting to gain any revenue by their ad deals with the NHL.

That’s how the NHL rolls NIVO. Sign deals you don’t plan on honoring, planning for lockouts and making provisions in deals to still get your money while you don’t deliver a product. Disingenuous sorry excuses for men.
