from Nick Cole of the Tennessean,
(Kevin) Klein laid the wood to Roussel late in the second period of Nashville’s 4-1 victory at Bridgestone Arena, drawing praise from teammates and coaches alike.
“It was just a great scrap,” Predators forward Eric Nystrom said. “I’ve been in a few of those, and the bottom line is that that is what takes the most courage in the whole sport. Dropping the gloves and engaging like that for your teammates. … The guys responded really well from that.”
The energy the fight infused into the Predators was apparent, as they aggressively finished the second period and were rewarded with a Roman Josi goal with 31 seconds remaining to push their lead to 3-1.
“Klein doesn’t fight very often,” Predators coach Barry Trotz said. “I’ve been here his whole career, and when he does fight, I can’t remember him losing one. I hope that is played on ‘NHL Tonight’ and all those other places so people can take notes.”
