Moving Tkachuk Would Be Counterproductive

If he chose to do so, Blues general manager Larry Pleau could gobble up a few more mid- to late-round draft picks by selling off defenseman Eric Weinrich, captain Dallas Drake and perhaps forwards Dean McAmmond and Scott Young. He might fetch a bigger bounty for forward Keith Tkachuk, if the big guy agreed to be traded out of St. Louis before tomorrow’s deadline. But folks in and around the hockey operation believe that could be counterproductive.
