Moving By April 3rd?

What do Mark Streit, Nik Antropov, Ryan Whitney, Robyn Regehr, Tim Connolly and Dustin Penner have in common?
According to Jim Matheson of the Edmonton Journal, they could be moved by April 3rd, trade deadline day.
— Mark Steit. The Swiss-born offensive New York Islanders defenceman could be a first unit power-play guy on a contender. He’s got a connection to Oilers head coach Ralph Krueger, but maybe they sign him in the summer.
— Nik Antropov. The Jets forward can be a big-body, top-nine guy on a team with Cup hopes. There is a history between the Blackhawks and the Jets because Winnipeg GM Kevin Cheveldayoff used to be the assistant GM in Chicago.

Streit for Quincey straight up. That way Detroit can have not-Quincey and the Isles can have…I don’t know…a warm body?

Oh Lordy, of course the Oilers are going to add Streit. They don’t seem to believe defense is part of the game in Edmonton.

Mark Streit could be a nice stopgap for the Red Wings, especially for their PP. But at 35, I sure wouldn’t trade all that much for him. Especially because it’s not like he improves the chances for a cup by all that much. But for the right price, he could be a perfect addition for a season or two till Smith ripens further.
